As most telemarketing operations may know by now, the National Do Not Call (DNC) list took effect October 1st, 2003. Residential customers can register via internet or toll free number to have their personal telephone numbers restricted from solicitation lists. Telemarketers dialing for the purpose of soliciting a service or product that violate the DNC list are subject to swift and severe penalties. Fines can reach levels of up to $11,000.00 per each registered DNC call dialed. These harsh fines go into the hands of the federal and state governments, not the registered consumer. Only the politicians and attorneys who created such laws reap the benefits of the violations.

Global Communications Networks Systems would like to show our valued customers how to avoid penalties stemming from these new federal and existing state laws. To avoid such penalties, all telemarketers MUST first register with the national DNC list for all areas of the country they choose to solicit. One can register and blanket the whole country or just the area codes they choose to conduct business.

After registering , telemarketers have two choices:

The first and most widely used option in the past is to manually wash or scrub one's own list against the national and state DNC list. This method is very time consuming and not always reliable. If a call to a registered consumer slips through the manual in-house scrubbing and violates the DNC list, your telemarketing company is liable. The law is written in such a way that efforts made to comply, such as in-house scrubbing, are not sufficient for compliance. The courts can not reliably confirm that your company took the time or made the investment to comply. The courts need proof that your company did everything within its power to adhere to the federal and state telemarketing laws. The proof that is required leads us to the second option.
